Painful points of suspense occur during intensive training, repeating the same movements or keeping a body in suspense.
A trigger point is a sensitive area in the muscle or connective tissue (fascia) that becomes painful when compressed. Trigger points necessarily lead to disruption of muscle work. This process happens due to an accumulation of inflamed areas and non-specific muscular dystrophy.
Types of trigger points:
Latent trigger points- these points are not painful and do not elicit a referred pain pathway. However, they will only be painful when palpated but otherwise may have all of the clinical characteristics of an active trigger point.
Active trigger points- areas of regular pain are easily sensed by a sportsman. Palpation causes painful muscular condensed feeling. Trigger points are usually located in neck, shoulders, lower back, and pelvis.
Causes:
Repeating movements;
A forced long-term position of the body;
Disorders of the bone and muscular system;
Injuries;
Hypothermia.
Prophylaxis: right performance of exercises, warming up, avoiding hypothermia, training systematically, healing injuries in time.
Agent for treating:
Medication- nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory нестероидные meds, muscle relaxant, antidepressants, sleeping pills;
Massage;
Healing physical activity;
Manual therapy,
Take an anesthetic.
