100 young athletes in the age of 7 and 15 years convened to figure out who can claim the title of the best “Temir Bala”. The sprint-distance course features a  swim in multifunctional ice arena “Barys” considered as one of the best in the country, and a fast run in surrounding fields. All finishers from eight age groups were awarded deserved and desired medals and cups.

Sayat Batpenov, Secretary- General of Astana Triathlon Federation, shared his thoughts about this special competition:

“Aquathlon is a start of the triathlon. We hold the first start under the program designed with our General Partner Tsesnabank JSC – “TEMIR BALA”. Consultancy with world champion Dmitry Gaag and our Australian colleagues helped us during preparations of this program. We are looking forward to reaching the highest potential of kids’ triathlon development: an opening of new triathlon clubs, advanced training for coaches, sports events for children. Hopefully, the program will enhance position if triathlon nowadays and will raise future champions deserving to represent Kazakhstan all over the world. Let me take this opportunity to thank all partners who support us along this way”.
